Cleaning Frequency
Clean your leather bags and wallets about once a month to maintain their appearance and condition.
Cleaning Steps
1. Empty the Bag: Remove all items from the bag, including small debris, by turning it upside down and shaking it out.
2. Use a Lint Roller: Remove remaining debris from the interior with a lint roller.
3. Wipe the Bag Down: Mix warm water with a few drops of leather soap. Use a soft, white damp cloth to wipe the bag.
4. Buff the Bag: Dry the bag with a clean, dry white cloth to restore shine.
5. Refresh the Hardware: Use a cotton swab and metal polish to clean metal hardware, avoiding contact with the leather.
6. Apply Leather Conditioner: Restore moisture and prevent cracking by applying leather conditioner.
Removing Stains
• Ink Stains: Apply isopropyl alcohol with a cotton swab, blot with a white cloth, and repeat as necessary.
• Wine Stains: Make a paste with lemon juice and cream of tartar, apply for 10 minutes, then wipe off with a white cloth.
• Oil and Grease Stains: Sprinkle baking soda, cornstarch, or talcum powder on the stain, leave overnight, and brush off in the morning. Repeat if necessary.
For unfinished leather (absorbs water), seek professional cleaning.
